Reading and Potty Training :)

Reading - we have the BOB books that we bought at Costco about 3 years ago, but you can get them at the library too.  In our preschool curriculm we are using the Lively Letters program to great success.  Here's an article if you want to read more about it.

Potty Training - I used this method with Anna at 20 months and she did great.  I tried for a day with Adam at 18 months and realized that he wasn't ready yet when he would surprise himself by peeing.  But we'll try again in March and I'll bet he'll do great.  We do have a pee-pee parade at night.  Too much info?  Kate goes first, then Anna, and then Adam sits on the toilet too.  Baby steps I tell you.

I'm kinda grateful the potty training didn't work because when I read that you were going to give it a go, I was like, "Uh wow... that means Eliza should be ready... and I haven't even thought about this..." So I have a couple months to feel okay again. :) Just joking. :)

Thanks for the run-down on your life; it's so fun to hear about things.

And thanks for the granola recipe... I've been trying them like a mad woman lately and maybe this will be "the one". :)

In my experience, boys just aren't ready to be potty trained until they're older. They just don't get it. Also, I'M not ready for it 'til they're 3. It's just so hard! :)

I've heard good things about the BOB books. I had hoped to have Noah reading by now since he's 5 (even though kindergarten won't start until next year) and he does not seems interested. Are they too young for him now?
