Let Me Explain
We left something in Mesquite. It was our sanity. Or maybe our kids left their sanity in a Subway in Mesquite. I made the mistake of buying a non-Disney DVD at the grocery store next to Subway as a surprise for the girls; this was not what Kate was expecting and she let me know all about it. Well, she got more upset, Anna joined in, Adam didn't want to be left out, and Spencer and I might have lost our cool in the 111 degree weather. I turned into a grumpy old Mom and pulled the car over on the highway. The result was that I left the DVD player on the side of the road. Why am I telling you all this? Because if I don't Kate will. It apparently left the mark on her that we were hoping it would, don't mess with Mom and Dad we mean business.

May I be the first to support you. I think it is good for kids to know boundaries. I think everyone benefits from kids knowing "or else" will happen. And perhaps I like knowing I am not alone when I loose it in the 111 degree heat.....
i bet some homeless man found it and it made his day :)
I, of course, never lose my cool because I make a point of never going to places that are 111 degrees. Ever.
I love moms that mean business. I see moms that never follow through and their kids are nightmares. The moms that are consistent have good kids. And you have good kids. Nice work, mom.
(but secretly, I would have put it in the trunk of the car because those are expensive! :)
good work! you do mean business!
