Random Summertime Musings

1. There is something so collegiate about summer.  The windows are open, the neighbors music is playing throughout our house, because his windows are also open, and it honestly makes me feel younger.

2. We left late for church today so we periodically ran down hills on our way.  At one point Kate, Anna in her stroller, and I were in the street running past a friendly group of two couples and their strollers.  Kate gave me grief about wearing flip-flops to church, I told her once you're full term certain dress standards don't apply.  I doubt she'll let me get away with such things again.

3. Is there something significant about the time in your life that you met your spouse?  Does the timing of this event shape your relationship forever?  If I had met Spencer in elementary school would he be a lot more likely to pull my hair now when he is flirting with me?  I'm glad I didn't meet him in high school if that is the case.

4.  I've recently fallen in love with good olives, why do black olives even exist?  Can't you just drink water from a cup?

5.  I love ice cream, my Mom does not.  I don't get it.

Your mom can't eat wheat and she doesn't like ice cream? What does she eat for treats?!

The mind reels.

random responses...I Love the first comment cause it reminds me of living on the main floor of the blue house and having my windows open and hearing people walk by and talk about random things. also, black olives are the only way to go, and did you see 30 rock when Liz made fun of people for wearing flip flops to church? :)

The answer to any 30 Rock question is YES, and I thought of Liz as I slipped on my rainbows Sunday morning. I just couldn't bring myself to carry another pair of shoes to change into, you should have seen all the gear I had to push. It'll never happen again, I promise.

Yum yum summertime. :)

Can't wait to meet this little guy of yours. I'm curious to hear if you have a scheduled induction with him too or not?

olives are gross.

I wore flip flops to church with Isaac because nothing--and I mean even my flip flops--fit my swollen feet. I've been lucky to skip that with my other two pregnancies.

We haven't scheduled an induction date yet. My dr. said we could evaluate the need for an induction if I went over, and that their preference is to not let women go more than a week over - which would put me past the 24th. I'm afraid that since this is my 3rd pregnancy I don't much care what their preference is and I'm going to wait it out as long as he has enough amniotic fluid, no -stress, etc.
