Something a Bit Different

We tried a new park today, one of those State Parks.  It was a  nice change of pace, we took a guided wildflower tour where we learned about this really cool poppy that has been nicknamed fried egg, and for good reason. 

The girls were the youngest tourists, so we decided to give them a break and throw things in the water for awhile, this was a favorite activity and I was able to show Kate what a water strider was, as opposed to her just knowing about them from a Charley Harper book, sad but true.

This tree was begging to be walked on, the girls thought their Dad was some sort of super hero and they became a lot more adventurous thanks to his good example. We'll be back State Park, you'll see.
