Not Too Bad

Anna had a drs. appt today. She is 27 3/4 inches long and 16 lbs. Her hair seemed to get more attention than her health, (reference photo) but I'm satisfied. We were there for 3 hrs though. The office didn't receive the fax of her previous immunizations, so we had to track her records down, fax them, re-fax them, again, you get the idea. Throughout this process my phone is ringing like crazy. We leave. The parking costs about the same as the visit. Next stop, paint store. We drive to where the paint store should be - I drive by 3x and still can't find it. Anna is wailing! She did just get 3 shots, and I'm frazzled. I drive down the street to drop off our housing deposit and see that there is no street parking. I'm going to pull into a red zone, call the manager and ask her to come out to my car to pick up the check. Instead I totally clip a PARKED car as I'm trying to pull into an illegal spot. I ask around, nobody knows who owns the car, so I leave a note. I call Spencer and ask if I can pick him up from work. (It is 5 o'clock at this point) We drive to pick him up from work, he calms me down; and I happily hand him the keys. He suggests that we go here for dinner. We get a table overlooking the ocean and eat some delicious scallops and sole.

ohhh, Andrea. I'm so sorry. Days like that are the worst, especially with two kids in tow. I hope you have a better day tomorrow! at least your girls are cute and sweet and you got a good dinner, right?!

I'm so sorry, but thank you for posting this. Sometimes I think that the sole purpose of your blog is to make me jealous of where you live, but now I remember there are a few downfalls, like parking being more expensive then the event you are parking your car to go to.

And by the way, YES, I do remember what I was wearing on the couch in the blue house so many years ago. I think the reason I move so often is just to escape my embarrassing past! I swear I went to sleep with a sheet over me. Man that house was hot.

Oh my goodness!!! Her hair is crazy! You have to post some closeups!!!

What a crazy day but what a beautiful family.

And good luck on dealing with people asking you about gay marriage. Having both worked for a boss who has chosen that lifestyle gives us a poignant perspective on our views.
