Manliness

While in Utah Spencer was able to meet up with his best buds from college.  We are still close with all of the guys and their families and we always have a great time when we get together.  The guys met up in St. George to do some hiking and some rappelling, and who knows what else.  Their plans were altered by cancelled flights, flood warnings, and other acts of nature; but they came out ahead as they rappelled off the back of a rental car backed up over a canyon - totally safe I'm sure.  Don't worry, every single one of them is involved in our churches Young Men's program, so you can count on them to teach the next generation such important safety skills.  Later on in the month we were able to get some of the wives and kids together in Alpine, UT.  The kids proceeded to climb the outside of a tree house and slide off a backyard zip-line.  No pansy kids for any of us :) It really was a great time and I'm happy to say that even though thousands of miles separate us, we all can slip right back into a familiarity that is so so great.
