Saint George 2010

We love St. George, for us it's a place we've always gone with our constant group of college friends and every time we've had a blast.  It's about as different from our current home as possible, and it's good to get the other end of the spectrum occasionally.  This time only 4 of the couples and their children could come, but somehow that still meant 10 kids under 6 years old, so it was a pretty well attended event.  We always go hiking, and this time our kids had a blast.

Here is Kate hiking "The Crack".  She's the only Jones who made it through - Spencer is too muscular to get through, and I'm a bit busty, so Kate was our fearless leader.

I'm pretty sure my girls were pouting in this picture because they weren't on top of the arch, but there really wasn't much pouting the whole trip.

Anna is so interested in textures, she could have sat and played in the dirt/sand all day.

The girls also had a fun time crafting back at the house.  I turned the corner to this great sight,  5 little beauties, and one cute Henry staring on.

The adults had a great time too.  We are all doing different things in different places, but we love getting together and reconnecting.  It's so comforting to know that somethings never change.  Speaking of Things, have you played the board game named Things?  It was really fun.  Those that were not able to attend, just know that you were referenced many times during those rounds played after the kiddos were all asleep.

The first time Ellen and I went to St. George to visit Jared's family (before they were really even dating) I hiked that crack, and almost got stuck due to my bustiness. I'm not kidding. Luckily I was wearing my big white puffy coat that was slippery on the outside, or I might still be there. And I'm not even that busty.
