Catch Up

1. My sister Natalie has been here for the last week or so, and we've had a great time. She's been a big help with the girls, with the move, fun to watch swimming with, and just nice to have around. It's always interesting to me how similar we are, considering she's a mere 10 yrs younger than myself. It's also good to have her perspective on odds and ends and of course her extensive knowledge of makeup!

2. A picture of Spencer and I on our anniversary. Not a great shot, but a shot. I'm sorry that my teeth are so blindingly white :) That morning we went for a bike ride up to Malibu and down to Venice, it was fun. It is very obvious which one of us rides his bike to work everyday. He smoked me, but it was still a nice ride. We were able to see a man dressed as a marijuana leaf at the Venice Freak Show. Later that night we went to a really yummy restaurant, Sam's by the Beach. We had sea urchin and yellow beets to name a few of the unusual eates we sampled.

3. Tonight we had our friends the Heatons over for Family Home Evening. We had an Olympic theme complete with medals, and Red White and Blue jello. The Heatons have identical twin daughters that are excellent friends to our Kate girl. There is no explanation for Kate's outfit, but it does represent both of her grandmas. Grandma Nancy made a skirt out of a thrift store dress. Grandma Tammy got the shirt at the Opening Night of Uncle Chris' new soccer stadium. We love Grandmas! and you both will be happy to know that she wears this outfit multiple times a week. I will call you enablers from here on out.
