Happy Mother's Day to You

A few times a year Spencer and the youth that he works with at church are asked to put together a church service for a care center in our neighborhood. Today was such a day. I've always taken Kate to these meetings as I think it's important for her to be taught how to act around the sick and the elderly (thank you Mom and Dad). So we showed up early and introduced ourselves to the people at the care center. Kate is a bit shy, but these very sweet people loved talking to her and watching her play. They also loved watching Anna sleep. I of course get an overwhelming sense that these years with young children don't last very long and that they are precious. I also was touched with the idea that my daughters will always be my pride and joy. Today I feel very blessed to be a Mom.
