On Friday my Mom assumed that she and my Dad were going to Midway for a little birthday getaway. She didn't suspect that we wouldn't let her get away with something so peaceful, doesn't she know us at all? Natalie, Spencer and I, Michelle and Omar, Chris, Karen, and Tanner, Dan and Sara, Chandra and Sean, and Christy and Sam all met her and my Dad at their 7:45 dinner reservation. It was a really fun surprise, made so much more meaningful by everyone who was in attendance; and the fact that Mom wears every emotion proudly on her sleeve. I hope you had a Happy 50th Momma - we love you.

so sweet! i can't believe how young your parents are!
i know! we just celebrated my mom's 60th birthday last year and we surpirsed my parents at their dinner reservation a couple of weeks ago for their 40th wedding anniversary. Weird. But I remember it being so weird our freshman year when your mom was having a baby and my sister was having a baby!!
