We'd like to introduce you to our newest family member. We're going to have a baby girl! She looked perfect to us at our ultrasound earlier today, I especially liked this profile picture. So far we are calling our second daughter Anna, and we can't wait to meet her. We are still trying to get our head around the idea of having a daughter who isn't Kate, it's a strange idea to contemplate how Spencer and I's genes could combine to make up something different this time, but I'm sure she will be her own little person. After the ultrasound Spencer and I picked up Kate from her friend's house and we went directly to buy baby sister an outfit. Kate didn't enjoy this as much as I thought she would until we bought her a little ball. We then went to a celebratory lunch, and now I'm basking in the knowledge of having two daughters soon. They'll be our little girls and I feel really blessed.

tj is convinced the more girls you all have, the more likely it is we'll have a boy. luckily that's not how it works!
i'm so excited for you! congratulations. i had some of the same feelings with our 2nd boy, but it turns out noah has his own personality and is actually very different from isaac. weird. isaac was never excited when i bought things for the new baby--he always wanted it to be for him. he still pretends he's a baby so he can get more attention or something and it drives me crazy!

Congratulations! Sarah will be so jealous! She may even want to arrange for a trade, so she can have a baby sister instead of a baby brother.

Yea! Having 2 girls is the best! It was hard for me to imagine how Ella would fit in our family, too. It's amazing how there's just so much love to go around! It's also amazing how their 2 little personalities can be so different!
