Not a Back Handed Compliment
Valentine's Day has frustrated me more than once in my life. Lucky for me I read an article that helped me see the good that can come from February 14th. This article suggested that the day should be treated the way it was in elementary school. People should be sweet and kind and a little glittery. I myself am married to a very sweet man, not a romantic at heart, but a sweet guy 365 days of the year. Spencer was especially sweet today and I'm grateful for a lighthearted day to celebrate the people I love and an opportunity to be a little glittery myself.

Loved your glittery shirt today! Very appropriate!
I like Valentine's better when I think of it on a kid's level--just happy to have people you love. Dave's not romantic either but I don't mind. I know he loves me! Happy Valentines.
I'm jealous I didn't get to see your glittery shirt
i love valentines. even before sunny (and no i never had a boyfriend on valentines other than him, but i did get dumped once). but it didn't matter. we would get pizza and chocolate and chic flicks and wear red and pink and ribbons and flowers and i love it! i think i experience most holidays on a childish level, but i'm totally ok with it cause i love them!
