We bought a new car yesterday, it was very unpleasant. But we have a very pleasant car now, a minivan. I have no comment, but I'm expecting one from at least Emily. Our previous car was having transmission problems again, this would be the 3rd transmission it would need since we bought it May of 2008. We opted out of our abusive relationship with the Pilot, and got ourselves the obvious choice for a family with three kids under 6 years of age. I'm sure I will learn to love it.
ANYWAY, that purchase took up way more of the day than I thought it would, and by the time we got to Trunk or Treat last night we looked beat. Here is the evidence. The girls were flowers, Adam a bee, Spencer was pollen, and I was a butterfly.
Here is more evidence of Kate's loveliness. This is the face of a child who was allowed to have sugar yesterday. We threw all the candy out today, but yesterday was apparently one of the best days of her life. Happy Halloween y'all.

I think you all look fantastic, and the first picture of your whole family, Kate looks like a supermodel. You make a good looking family!
And yes, you will get a comment on the van. I desperately wanted one and then once I got it I felt so weird about it--so I know how you feel. It feels old and frumpy and weird. But I still L.O.V.E. it. love love love love love it. Even if I feel 90 years old every time I start the engine. The space! The heated seats! The DVD player! Magic. You will learn to love it, mostly because of the space. And the working transmission.
