PreSchool

Kate had a great day today. She had her first day of preschool and it went really well; so well that she wasn't too happy to see me when I came to pick her up. I recognize that this is a good sign, but I'm wondering when I'm going to get some credit! If I were to make Kate's top five favorite things about preschool I would suggest the following list:

1. Spencer pulls her in the bike trailer to school

2. Bikes on the playground
3. Grape Juice
4. Low Sinks
5. Ainsley, our neighbor at our previous residence

Like many of you I have seen a lot of blogs lately about Back to School Rituals. I think these are a fantastic idea and we were able to have a Preschool Eve dinner last night. Kate just happened to have a friend over for dinner, she was able to pick our meal and then Spencer gave her a Father's Blessing, a specific prayer for Kate, that she would have a successful school year. I know it made Kate feel special and seemed to help her recognize the significance of today. Little does she know she's got another 20+ years of school to go, with any luck.

Awww, so cute! I love the back-to-school dinner idea. We ended up doing a bts breakfast, since Isaac likes pancakes better than anything else I cook. How many days a week is she going? She looks very cute and excited!

She goes everyday for 3 and 1/2 hrs. I feel like it's comparable to half day kindergarten, which they don't do here.
