Kate is a small fry. I never thought I would have a petite daughter, but somehow here she is anyway. Combine that with the fact that her skin is uber sensitive, and we have about a 10% success rate on finding clothes that work. I am SICK of seeing her in the above mentioned 10% of her wardrobe. Any suggestions on brands that work for petite children? She's been wearing those clothes almost non-stop since May 26th. Ugh.

For my skinny mini Addie, I have to get Children's Place pants. They have the adjustable waist (which most places have now), but they seem to fit really well.
Also lately I've liked to dress my girls in leggings and baby doll shirts (the big baggy ones). That way you can buy the shirts a size big and they fit for a long time and the leggings a little small and it looks cute!
I love babyGap because of the adjustable waist, but for my sisters who have tiny girls like you, even that's not enough, and they have to sew the waist band together in the back to make it small enough. Have you tried Crazy 8? (new gymboree line)
Maybe it's time to get back to sewing?
I have been out of the market for a few years, but Sarah was (and is) a skinny mini. Gymboree worked well for us with the leggings and bike shorts--is elastic still in?
Andrea A.
for our skinny one, I buy baby pants and she wears them as shorts or capris. Usually she can wear an old Navy 18-24 months.
also, the boys section baby shorts work for shorts, sometimes 3-6 or 6-12 months, just depends (if she wears baby shorts from the girls section they are just ridiculously short.)
