Another Milestone

Anna started her first fire today. She likes to pull out the drawer beneath the oven, which is actually the broiler. I don't really like this design anyway, but today I officially despise our broiler. Anna had put a dish towel in the broiler drawer earlier today. I recently put potatoes in the oven and shortly thereafter started smelling smoke. All I could keep thinking was, why don't I have a fire extinguisher. Luckily it just took a few glassfuls of water to put the fire out. The dish towel is no longer with us, but no other damage to report.

Oh man, that is so scary. seriously. After my friend's house burned down a few years ago we got a fire extinguisher. Glad everything's okay!

That is a very significant milestone. She crossed it at such an early age too. You definitely have an overachiever there.

Wow - that is so scary.....I will bring my fire extinguisher down to you. Can I carry it on the plane? I have one. If I can't bring it on the plane, I will give it to you when you drive up here in the summer. BE CAREFUL

P.S. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day. I'm quite confident you took a cute picture with your girls and would love to see it. :)
