Kateism #5

Today Kate asked me, "when will my belt turn yellow?". This question references her karate class. I tried to explain to her that she would get a new yellow belt when she earned it by going to many classes, earning three stripes, and taking a belt test. She's so earnest.

Hi Kate and Anna - Happy birthday Dear Anna! We can't believe you are one already....You look so much like your Daddy standing in your crib and yelling -- "get me outta here" I like your crib and your cool bedskirt and quilt from Amy Butler, via Seasons of Home and your mom's handy sewing....I am curious about your crib....I can't figure out the back...the front is white and the back is brown but it looks like a different piece of furniture...what's up? Just curious? Grandma is making sock monkeys out of some of her felted wool sweaters....they are very cute and wacky. Hope you come visit soon....Love, love, love
