The Girls and their Milestones

1. Guess who slept through the night? All of us. That's right. At a mere 7 weeks young Anna surprised us all and slept from 10:30 till 5:30 when I woke her up. I got up because Kate was having some sort of blanket attack in her room and after we quieted that beast I woke Anna up to make sure she was alive. She is.

2. Kate read a few words this morning. I was showing her that words that rhyme end in the same letters, so to spell ran you would just need to take the p off pan. She read pan, ran, dan, van, can, ... well, you get the picture. It was very rewarding. I've taken a slightly different approach with Kate lately. We spend more time doing what I want to do with her. This way I'm happy to play and work with her, and she's happy because her Mom is being nice to her. It's a win win.
