Oh Happy Day

So many reasons to celebrate. The first and most long awaited was that Spencer defended his dissertation on Wednesday and passed with flying colors! It was a great experience to see him in his work environment presenting the body of work he's been pulling together for the last 5 years. It was also very rewarding to hear his committee and the department chair speak so highly of him. He really has done a lot of excellent work. Wednesday was a great day in the Jones family! I practically forced him take the day off yesterday and we celebrated by buying me a new computer - to arrive early next week, and by going to the park.
