Kate had long long hair. I have not seen another two year old with longer hair than our Kate girl had; and I thought - What if she doesn't like having long hair? Anyway, here are the before and after shots of my first attempt at cutting anyone's hair. I was kind of scared at first, but then I remembered one particularly bad haircut I had, and I got over my fear and just snipped. Kate did surprisingly well, I think it was mostly from shock. I'm not sure she knew hair could be cut. Afterwards she looked so happy and she thought it was very funny that her own hair could tickle her. I think she looks a bit older, but after all, it's just hair.

very cute! I am so impressed that you cut it...I haven't even cut Carter's hair yet--someone else has always done it for me. But Sean bought me a hair cutting set so I might just get brave enough and do it after reading this post!
it's really cute! good job. i cut isaac's once...straight across over the ears. it was awful. i'll never do it again.
Great job, Andrea! I had Claire's hair really short when she was 2 also. So much personality!
